IQ Madrid

IQ, the British neo-prog band formed in 1981 by Mike Holmes, were one of the bands that, along with Marillion, Pendragon, Twelfth Night, and Pallas, carried on the progressive rock tradition of the 1970s, pioneered by bands like Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Genesis, and Yes.

They have become a cult band, a benchmark within the progressive rock of the 1980s and 90s, and continue to release critically acclaimed albums. Their last visit to Spain was in 2025, in Barcelona and Madrid, where they played to great audiences and presented their critically acclaimed album, Dominion.

The band consists of Peter Nicholls (vocals), Michael Holmes (guitar), Paul Cook (drums), Neil Durant (keyboards), and Tim Esau (bass).
