Elliott Murphy, one of the last great living legends of rock, comes to Oviedo accompanied by his inseparable musical partner, the extraordinary guitarist Olivier Durand. Together, in an intimate yet powerful duo performance, they are set to captivate the audience at Tribeca Live, weaving a journey where poetry embraces rock in a night that promises to be truly unforgettable.
Elliott has lived in Paris for over 30 years as an expatriate New Yorker. With over 50 years of musical career and over 35 albums released, he still performs throughout Europe, as well as in the United States and Japan, and is a prolific fiction author.
He is, without a doubt, one of the most extraordinary figures in the history of rock. Many consider him one of rock’s most passionate, cultured, and intelligent songwriters. His admirers in the music business are legion, including Peter Buck of R.E.M., Lou Reed, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, and Elvis Costello.
His poetic imagery, masterful storytelling, and introspective lyrics have earned him a cult following in the United States and true stardom in Europe.
