The magician Pere Rafart will perform at Barts Club
The degeneration of an author’s comic illusionism.
Pere Rafart left his native Solsona to work in a multinational advertising company. But at the age of 25 he left his permanent job to dedicate himself to his great passion, magic. He returned to Solsona and spent two years there reading everything that could be read about magic and practicing and creating his own tricks. This investment of time paid off and in 2017 he received the Wizard of the Year award given by the Spanish Society of Illusionism and in 2018 he made the international leap with the second prize in the FISM World Cup held in Korea, the most important event in the world for illusionists. With these credentials, it was not surprising that the young Solsoni called him in 2019 to participate in “Fool us”, a well-known “talent show” in the United States where the best magicians from around the world appear.
Pere Rafart’s fame has skyrocketed in the wake of his appearance on the American show. He has also appeared on the “Got Talent” program on Tele 5, and made three performances in the last edition of La Marató on TV3. Aside from the incisive and giddy humor, its appeal lies in offering tricks “of its own creation or personal adaptations of classic numbers”. With Pere Rafart you can see a show suitable for everyone, very close and with constant interactions with the public. But above all, you will have a lot of fun and you will simply be amazed.
